Adams City High School
Heritage High School
The Adams City Eagles endured a challenging week of roster depleting injuries in dropping their first Plains League meeting to the Eagles of Heritage High School 49 – 7. In a classic tale of âThe Good, The Bad, and The Uglyâ the ACHS Eagles definitely saw their share of the bad and the ugly with just enough of the good to display vital signs of an organization that refuses to throw in the towel and quit. The next test comes on Friday October 13, 2017 at home against the Chatfield Chargers. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m at The A.
In a turnover and mistake riddled half the Adams City Eagles gave up 3 more scores in the second quarter going into the locker room down 42 – 0.
With a running clock Adams City looked much better in the third quarter but failed to capitalize with a score and allowed another Heritage score to close out the quarter with a 49 – 0 lead.
Adams City was finally able to locate the end zone early in the fourth quarter to put the Eagles on the scoreboard. That score would be the last of the night for both teams bringing the game to a well needed end. Heritage 49 – Adams City 7.
The Heritage Eagles opened the game with three unanswered scores early on to take a 21 – 0 lead.
